What we do

What we do

Laureus Sport for Good Hong Kong uses sport as a practical tool to help children and young people feel more included, healthier and more hopeful. We do this by funding good work, helping organisations grow stronger, creating partnerships that can reach more young people, and building the evidence needed to make that work more effective over time.
  • Fund local Sport for Development programmes with clear social outcomes.
  • Support organisations with training, safeguarding, monitoring, measurement and development support.
  • Design and deliver selected initiatives where Laureus can add distinctive value directly.
  • Convene partners across philanthropy, business, sport and civil society to strengthen the wider ecosystem.
  • Advocate for sport as a serious tool for youth development, inclusion and wellbeing.
  • Build evidence through research, reporting and impact measurement.

Specialist programme development and funding
We identify and fund high-potential Sport for Development programmes in Hong Kong through strategic, transparent grant management that supports children and young people directly and helps upskill the adults who work with them.

Programme design and delivery
Drawing on learning from hundreds of global Sport for Development initiatives, we work alongside local partners to design and deliver programmes built for local needs.

Capacity building
We provide practical support to help partners grow stronger, more resilient organisations, including sector expertise, technical guidance, financial support practices and safeguarding input.

Community engagement and advocacy
We use the visibility of sport and the strength of the Laureus network to build awareness, shift perceptions and champion Sport for Development as a serious tool for change.

Research, reporting and measurement
Our approach is grounded in evidence. Through research, real-time tracking and reporting, we help demonstrate what works and strengthen programme quality over time.
