In 2000, Nelson Mandela shared his vision that “Sport has the power to change the world” and
for 25 years Laureus Sport for Good has turned this belief into action - using sport to help
disadvantaged children and young people overcome challenges, unlock their potential and
create brighter futures.
Today, that story is being written in Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong, too many children and young people are missing out on the physical, emotional and social benefits that sport can unlock. Over 90% are not getting enough physical activity, nearly two-thirds of secondary-age young people report feeling overwhelmed by academic stress, and more than 40% show signs of emotional strain. For children from low-income families, ethnic minority communities and those with special educational needs, these pressures are even greater.
Our work is rooted in real programmes, practical partnerships and measurable social outcomes.
